Kwanzaa Celebrations
Kwanzaa, meaning "first harvest," is a celebration of culture, community, and heritage. Created by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966, Kwanzaa was established to honor African traditions and rebuild our culture and communities.

This meaningful holiday begins on December 26th and lasts until January 1st, providing an opportunity for families and communities to come together in reflection, unity, and celebration. Each of the seven days highlights one of the Nguzo Saba, or Seven Principles, which serve as guiding values for building strong, empowered communities.
Kwanzaa is not just a celebration of the past but also a time to look forward, drawing inspiration from our shared heritage to foster hope, creativity, and collective strength for the future.
Join us as we honor Kwanzaa and its powerful message of unity, culture, and renewal.
